An Astros fan reached into Mike Trout's glove to rob him of a leaping catch in foul ground Saturday night. The play was ruled a foul ball and not a catch.
After the game Mike Trout met with the fan who interfered with his catch and signed the ball for his son.
Trout, a three-time AL MVP and 11-time All-Star, said he felt it was important to meet with the fan and his son because he didn’t believe there was any malicious intent.
“They were really apologetic,” Trout said. “It didn't really affect the game. I’ve got kids myself and that kid was probably nine years old. Just seeing them after the game, they were really nice people. They had to move and they probably spent hard-earned money on those tickets.”
