Manager Joe Espada said it is very possible Josh Hader could return for the Pirates series.

Hader missed the end of the 2025 season and all of 2026 so far due to injuries.

The Astros have their closer again. Josh Hader had a 2.05 ERA while converting 28 out of 29 save opportunities for Houston last year before he went on the injured list in August with a capsule strain in his left shoulder.
