Jake Meyers is progressing well, sprinting, hitting, and doing outfield work. The Astros want to increase the volume and intensity of his activities before he advances to live at-bats.

Yordan Alvarez hit in the cages on Aug. 8 and progressed to hitting on the field in West Palm Beach, Fla., on Aug. 9. Manager Joe Espada said that Alvarez has looked “really good” in his hitting sessions.
